The state of things
Nine months on, the first season is still shaping this one. Every GM who spent a pick in the Witching Hour is living with it now, and the draft hasn't even happened yet.
Jake N Bake collected instead of spending, and walks into August holding a first, two seconds, two thirds and two fourths. That is the deepest board in the league by a comfortable margin. Team TrevorAldrich went the other direction: two firsts and two seconds, nothing at all in the fourth. Neither has played a snap this year. Both have already made most of their decisions.
And the league is still one man short of settled. Rob finished last, drew the Waffle House Challenge, and reported back that he'd handled it. The investigation turned up no photos, no receipts, no timestamps, and a Waffle House employee who didn't remember him. The claim was rejected. The rule isn't complicated. Complete the punishment or lose the franchise. Lukas Swan is already on the golf trip roster.
Everything else gets decided in Kentucky, August 21st through 23rd. Rule changes, the Toilet Bowl punishment, and the draft board itself. Three courses, one draft, and whatever's left of the offseason's arguments.
The Waffle House investigation
Rob finished last and still hasn't completed the punishment. He claimed he did. The investigation turned up no proof, so the claim was rejected. Any GM who fails to complete a punishment is removed from the league and replaced.
Trade veto threshold
Locked. Any side grading 40 or above clears and auto-processes through TradeWise. Below 40 goes to a GM veto vote.
Rule changes

Power rankings
Nobody has played a snap, so there is no form to measure. Until Week 1 finalizes, the board ranks what each GM actually holds. After a Witching Hour that moved ten-plus trades, that picture is genuinely uneven.

Outlook
This is redraft. Last year's record says more about the GM than the roster. What carries forward is picks and a keeper.

The last night

One week before the trade deadline, a window opens and every pick in the league goes on the market. Once it shuts, Round 8 is the ceiling. No firsts, no seconds, nothing that could change a franchise. The future locks and stays locked.
Last year it produced 10+ trades in a single stretch. GMs sat down and answered one question in one night: are you winning now, or are you building? There is no third answer, and the picks you move are gone whichever way you go.
Most of them were wrong. One of them was right, and he's the photograph at the top of the home page. The rest are showing up to this draft with holes in their board and nothing to show for it.

Three courses in three days, a draft on Saturday night, and a scorecard that decides who picks where.
How the draft board gets set
2v2 match play, random partners, handicaps. Win = 3, tie = 1, loss = 0, plus a match bonus. Trip standings determine the order GMs select their preferred draft slot. Jumpball Jake picks first as reigning champion.
Ryder Cup format?
No handicap, captains make strategic pairing decisions. If adopted, the scoring and draft-slot logic tied to match outcomes needs revisiting.
Everything gets voted on here
Rule changes, the Toilet Bowl punishment, and anything else on the table go to a league vote during the trip. Nothing gets decided in the group chat this year.
Roster change
Clouser Corner's GM misses the trip for a new job. Lukas Swan joins the golf roster as a replacement from the free agent pool, and is also on standby for the Big Coch franchise.
Rules
The mechanics that make this league its own thing. Keepers, pick trading, and a draft order nobody can tank into.
Keepers
One per GM per year. Cost escalates one round higher than where the player was originally drafted. Player must have been originally drafted by that GM and held through the end of the season. Declarations due 72 hours before the draft.
Pick trading & the Witching Hour
Picks may be traded across current and future seasons. The Witching Hour is the final window to move any pick above Round 8. It opens officially one week before the trade deadline. After it closes, Round 8 is the ceiling and no future first can change hands.
Rivalry weeks
Week 1 and the final week of the regular season are rivalry weeks. Every GM draws their designated rival to open the year and again to close it.
Draft order
Set by golf trip standings. GMs select their preferred slot in finish order. Jumpball Jake picks first as reigning champion.
Toilet Bowl
Last place pays. Leading concept: one hour of complete silence, no phone, no music, no entertainment, verified live via FaceTime with the group chat watching. Voted on at the golf trip.
